What counts as a billable verification?
Any address we return valid, invalid or risky for. Unknown results — timeouts, greylisting, servers that refuse to answer — are never charged. Nor are results served from cache within their freshness window.
Do credits expire?
Not on the credit packs. List cleaning is bursty and campaign-driven, so a monthly reset you did not use is money taken for nothing. The subscription plan is cheaper per credit and does reset monthly — pick whichever matches how you actually work.
What happens if a check fails halfway through a list?
Rows that resolved are charged, rows that did not are not. You can requeue the unresolved ones at any time, and greylisted addresses are retried automatically before we give up on them.
How accurate is it?
We publish agreement against observed bounce data rather than a marketing number. Valid and invalid are scored; risky and unknown are excluded, because counting them would let the figure improve every time we gave up. Ask us for the current confusion matrix.
Do you store the addresses I upload?
Your uploads and their results are kept until the retention window you can see on each list, then purged. Our verification logs never contain the raw address — only a keyed hash, so we cannot reverse them either.
Can I verify at signup instead of cleaning later?
Yes, and you should. One API call at your registration form catches the typo while the person is still on the page. The cheapest list to clean is one that never got dirty.
